Thinking of my own business was quite hard. I really don’t know what kind of business to build. In order to aid this I find the meaning of business.
What is business? A business is a legally recognized organization designed to provide goods or services, or both, to consumers, businesses and governmental entities. A business is typically formed to earn profit that will increase the wealth of its owners and grow the business itself. The owners and operators of a business have as one of their main objectives the receipt or generation of a financial return, in exchange for work and acceptance of risk.
I am thinking of starting my own business and make some bucks while developing my skills and capabilities as an entrepreneur. I’m inclined information technology industry, so starting out a cyber café would be one big leap for me, especially for novice entrepreneurs. Thinking of possible business that I can manage well and possible to operate is really hard. The first thing was lack of knowledge and also no experience. But since I need to think a business I will think my past experienced. And if I’m given a chance to have a business honestly I really want to build an internet café. When I’m forced to stop in my first course which is Education and worked in an internet café it gave me an idea to take Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT). When I will graduate from this course hopefully I will build my own internet café. I know there are already lots of internet café in our country but as an IT professional in the coming future of course I will make my internet café as best as I could.

I want to start a business without any partnership. Maybe I can talk for someone who are really inclined from this kind of business and ask for some advice. Starting alone was quite difficult but it sounds challenging. I love challenges it makes me more excited and whatever may happened what is important was I did my best. If I failed to do one thing so I will take it as stepping stone so that the next time I encountered it again I am more confident to do it right. I will be more responsible in managing this kind of business. I’m not that good in programming but I guess I’m good in handling a business. Attitudes are more important here. I need to be gentle in every customer and also to my employee. I will treat them as a member of my family so that they will treat me also good.

I will gather more information especially in trouble shooting. I will pray to our Almighty God that He will give me more knowledge about running this business and guide me for whatever I will be doing.

• To build unique, upscale and innovative environment internet café.
• To educate more the community of what internet café can offer.
• Affordable access to the resources of the internet and other online services.
• The formation of environment that will bring people to diverse interests and backgrounds together in a common forum.
• Introduce new software’s to the customers.


Capital
To build a business it really needs to plan it properly. Of course, you need a capital for it. I guess what I need to think first is where should I get my Capital? How much I spend as a start for my business? What I am planning for is to find job first I want to build it with my own money. Partnership is really good but I want to spend capital from it with my own so that in the coming future no issues will be raised. I will find better jobs with better salary at least 2-5 years I can have the capital that I needed to start my business. I will ask for the experts or go research for the best capital as a start. I will gather more information regarding on it.
Seeking location
The next step and the important thing in the internet café is the LOCATION. Pick a good spot and you’ll hit a gold mine. Pick the wrong one and kiss your money goodbye. Look for a place that is easy to spot for the customers. Yes, because if you believe that you have the right location then you’ll have a higher probability to succeed or even just getting back your investment in a short time. Where should I build my internet café business? What is the best place for it? As I observe most internets build their business near in the schools especially in Universities, Church, market place or inside the community. But I will still gather more information for it. I will make sure that there is no heavy competition in the area. I can either rent a place or build my own place. Many internet café failed to keep their business alive because of poor planning in choosing the best place for it.

Lay-out/Decoration
When I am able to choose the best location the next thing that I will plan is the lay-out of the building. Many customers will attract if the building was decorated unique and very comfortable to stay in. I will put a garden outside the internet café. I will plant beautiful flowers and some plants to have fresh temperature. I will also render drinks and foods. I will make a space for drinking and eating only. It should be air-conditioned. Computers needs to be cooled all the time especially when it used for so long. There would be a space for my other services so that they can work anytime without compromising others. In budgeting for the entire building output it should not be so expensive it is better to make it nice and spending right amount money from it.

The computers to be used in my business
A computer is probably one of the most useful items in my business. Being an IT professional I should know what the right specs for my computers is. But I will also listen to those people who are dedicated in setting up an Internet Cafe because they know what are the parts that will work and those parts that will only give me a bigger investment but produce same results/profit.

While it’s good for the customers, exceeding the lower boundaries can drive you and your competitors to bankruptcy.” Here in the Philippines there are lots of internet café already. For me, enable to sustain my internet café business I will make sure that I will always check the performance of my units and give the best services to my customers. I will be loyal friendly in every customer that I have.
Quality/Consistency of Broadband Connectivity
Customer looking for fast and accessible Internet connection For places that don’t have many options for bandwidth providers, this could spell trouble if your only source of connectivity conks out more frequently than you get brown-outs in your area. A backup DSL might be a good solution but many consider the extra cost to be not worth it. The connection should be fast and accurate. Many customers got irritated if connection is very slow so better to have a fast internet access as possible.

Right Software’s
In an internet café it is really important to go for license in some software. There are many crack’s software that I can download in the internet to have many features. I will introduce some useful software’s that are not available in other internet café. I will install as many as I and make it sure that it will not affect the performance of my unit.
Protection
One of the major problems for a common computer is infecting viruses. Day by day there are many viruses created. They can easily spread in any computers if we are not aware from them. It will destroy some of my important files and cannot recover it anymore. The best way to get rid of this is to have a powerful anti-virus. As I observe it even how powerful your anti-virus it will not assure you that you will be safe by attacking viruses. For me it is not that hard I will always check for the updates and also check my units if there are suspicious files. Viruses can really affect the computer’s performance. It will make the unit lag and have slow performance which makes the customer irritated. In this kind of business each costumer is important. If they will find that my units are working well he/she will be inviting his/her friends to visit my internet café and log in. In that way I can win more customers.

• Customer's Personal Property: Internet café does not accept responsibility for customer property and to the extent reasonable excludes liability for the loss, damage or theft of any customer property brought onto the premises. Customers are reminded not leave any personal property unattended.
• Customer confidentiality: Internet café does not accept any liability to customers or third parties for breaches of confidentiality due to technological reasons outside the reasonable control of Internet cafe, or breaches caused by customers to third parties. Customers are required to comply with all applicable laws and contractual obligations concerning confidentiality and data protection.

Aside from internet services I will also offer some revenues to gain more profit. That way, all I need is for the revenues of the net cafe to at least cover rent, bills and wages. Whatever profits I am expecting will come from other side businesses.
What are possible side businesses that one can add on top of an internet cafe? Well, these are the possible services that I can offer:
 Gaming cards for pay-for-play games (Level-Up, e-Games).
 Cellphone reloading for Smart, Globe and Sun Cellular.

 Encoding/typing services.
 Digital Photo services (better than webcam quality Friendster photos).
 Card Design/Printing (calling cards, invites, certificates, custom greeting cards, etc.)

When I have this Business, me myself I will also spend my time in online services. Making money in blogging and accepting services through online. As of now this is the business that I can easy to build up but maybe in the future when I’m engaging in many fields I can think better business than these. In business not all the time it will be good so really helpful to save money for the unexpected expenses. I should able to know the flow of money and take good care of everything. Just take one step at a time. Work your plan and plan your work. I will work for it enables to attain my goal. Just take the risk if you know that you are still in the right tract and if you think that it is not profitable at all try to think another way or try another business this time. I am not that intelligent but I have the attitude that can really bring me into success. As long as I have God whatever may happened in the future I will still stand firm and let God take over. In everything that I will do I will ask always for His guidance and ask for His knowledge and wisdom.

Many Filipino works abroad. We can’t see them for a long period of time. Enable to bridge the gap by the help of technology we can easily talk to them and also see them face to face in the screen anytime we want. By using these technologies in little ways we can help them to feel them better seeing their love one’s in good condition.

Many Filipino women, teenagers have fun in chatting. Many Pinay’s found their long time partner through chat. Most Pinay’s chat with American men even how far they are they still feels that that they are near from each other.
• Students
Student’s is my main target especially in college level internet café is really helpful for making their assignments, research papers and exploring more things. They can visit any places by just one click. Being a student our learning should not be limited in the four corner of the classroom we should go beyond it and by the help of internet we can easily access any information that we want to know. Not all students can afford to buy their own computer so internet café is the best place to go.
• Online Gamers
As far as I observed when playing an online games they need to maintain their levels. When they found that my internet café is the best place for gaming expected that they will always log in. They will be my always customer’s.

Goal
I will able to serve my customer as best as possible. The computers are working well and the speed in internet connection is really fast and accessible. At the end of a year is to be able to recover enough of the initial capital in order to re-invest in upgrading my workstations in 2 or 3 years. Otherwise, I get left behind with older and slower PCs that I’ll lose customers to nearby competitors that offer better ones for the same rates.

Reflection
This was really challenging assignment. It was not easy to make 3000 words but I need to do this. At first it was so hard to think for a business. Internet café is common business. Every corner has an internet café but as of now that was my little ambition in case I will give a chance to have a business. Being an IT I really want to apply my course in real life scenario. Being an employee is good but being an employer is best. I don’t need to please my boss because I am the boss. What I should do is to win more customers and make them comfortable and satisfied for the services I offered. As of now I will study hard and try to love my all subjects because if you love one thing you will afraid losing it. I will make sure to keep them as long as God will allow me to take care for them. Business is not an easy path. It really needs more knowledge and more information enables to sustain the business. I will share every blessing that I have and I will extend assistance for those people who are needy.
