Our facilitator let us do a providence walk, and then we will make an idea through the things in the surroundings. This time we will planned a business scheme in our walk experienced in life. And as I walk as my providence walk an idea for my technopreneurship business came to my mind. As students taking up a Technopreneurship course, we are required to have a business plan or proposal. I think at this point in time we are now equipped with the necessary basic principles from our past lessons, discussions and experiences, that are needed for entrepreneurship ideas. So, when will this business plan or proposal start? Dated last November 26 2010 I together with my ever coolest friends had the whole afternoon strolling around the two most visited shopping mall in the city. Until now, I still don’t know of what purpose did we go there (laugh out loud) But any ways, here are some of our experiences. While walking around the city I tried to take notice of the businesses that involves the idea of technopreneurship like we were asked to. Around the school’s vicinity alone, there were already several businesses that made use of technopreneurship. There were the usual internet cafes, printing stores, banks and more. Around the city was the obvious technological change. Technological change refers to the changes in production techniques and production equipment. It could be a change in the machinery used to make a product or the computers to design a product. More recently it is the use of the computers and information technology (IT) to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of businesses that has led to technological change. Since technological is so rapid, there are important implications for businesses. And I also learned that to be a successful technoprenuer I should value my friends or even if I have my employees I should put up a good and strong relationship, appreciating them in every donation that they shared for the edification of the business or the company I have, particularly with the one that I in a straight line working with in each instance. On the other hand, I was extremely inspired by the strong point of mind and firmness of Steve Jobs as well as with Bill Gates so if I will do my own business then I should the strong qualities of that as of the two, and also I would like to give emphasis to that Bill Gates has the more will than Steve Jobs because his Microsoft is remote smaller than Apple and also Bill Gates suited his office in the midst of Albuquerque which is that time was very out of favor area for any business or establishing any office while Steve Jobs’ company towered in the city and Steve Jobs’ Apple Company is far richer and have the complete facility than of Bill Gates. But Bill Gates showed strong will to compete and even intruding the company of Steve Jobs. And because of that Bill Gates exceed Steve Jobs and even gaining shares in the Apple Company. And it impacted me to have the will also in every effort that I will make in the world of technoprenuership and to my own business. I am thinking of starting my own business and make some bucks while developing my skills and capabilities as an entrepreneur. I’m inclined information technology industry, so starting out a cyber café would be one big leap for me, especially for novice entrepreneurs. Thinking of possible business that I can manage well and possible to operate is really hard. The first thing was lack of knowledge and also no experience. But since I need to think a business I will think my past experienced. And if I’m given a chance to have a business honestly I really want to build an internet café. When I’m forced to stop in my first course which is Education and worked in an internet café it gave me an idea to take Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT). When I will graduate from this course hopefully I will build my own internet café. I know there are already lots of internet café in our country but as an IT professional in the coming future of course I will make my internet café as best as I could. Internet café is a Sole trader “A sole trader is the simplest form of business organization. There are no legal requirements - you simply set up and get on with trading. Maybe I can talk for someone who are really inclined from this kind of business and ask for some advice. Starting alone was quite difficult but it sounds challenging. I love challenges it makes me more excited and whatever may happened what is important was I did my best. If I failed to do one thing so I will take it as stepping stone so that the next time I encountered it again I am more confident to do it right. I will be more responsible in managing this kind of business. I’m not that good in programming but I guess I’m good in handling a business. Attitudes are more important here. I need to be gentle in every customer and also to my employee. I will treat them as a member of my family so that they will treat me also good. Instruction in planning my internet café business: • Procuring your IT gears: For newbie individuals in entrepreneurship, financing would be a problem since prices for computers, printers, fax machine, and scanners, and other overhead costs for the business tend to be high. However, there are some good and nice options for you to consider if you are constraint with regards to finances. Franchising is one of the choices by which you can start your cyber café business. You also have to research for the requirements of some cyber café which are available for franchise. Once you have selected the business you want to have for franchise, ask on the process for application, submit the requirements and you will be reaping more benefits than you can imagine. • Staying long in the business: In order to keep your business income healthy, make sure that your internet and other services are of good quality. You might be disappointing your customers with slow and intermittent internet access. Just be sure to subscribe to a server that's of high-technological quality. Some other computer shops have cyber café beside them so that customers can use the internet while waiting for their computers to be repaired and some even sell computer accessories and stuff in their cyber café. • You can indeed grow big with cyber cafés. You only have to use effective strategies to keep up with your market. And a wise head is what you also need to be successful, not just in internet cafés but in any business as well. Rules and Regulation • No pornography • No hacking • No gambling • One or two person’s only are allowed in one unit. • No Entry during School Days—No children are allowed to inside café premises from Mondays-Fridays. Children can only go to Internet Café on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to either play games or do their assignments. • CCTV recording: is in operation in all stores for the protection of our customers, staff and stock. • Customer's Personal Property: Internet café does not accept responsibility for customer property and to the extent reasonable excludes liability for the loss, damage or theft of any customer property brought onto the premises. Customers are reminded not leave any personal property unattended. • Customer confidentiality: Internet café does not accept any liability to customers or third parties for breaches of confidentiality due to technological reasons outside the reasonable control of Internet cafe, or breaches caused by customers to third parties. Customers are required to comply with all applicable laws and contractual obligations concerning confidentiality and data protection. Aside from internet services I will also offer some revenues to gain more profit. That way, all I need is for the revenues of the net cafe to at least cover rent, bills and wages. Whatever profits I am expecting will come from other side businesses. What are possible side businesses that one can add on top of an internet cafe? Well, these are the possible services that I can offer:  Gaming cards for pay-for-play games (Level-Up, e-Games).  Cellphone reloading for Smart, Globe and Sun Cellular.  Photocopying, printing, scanning and CD/DVD burning services.  Food and drinks.  Photo-ID and photo printing.  Custom cellphone uploads (ringtones, wallpapers, games, apps).  Computer sales and repair services.  Encoding/typing services.  Digital Photo services (better than webcam quality Friendster photos).  Card Design/Printing (calling cards, invites, certificates, custom greeting cards, etc.)  Video conversion/authoring.  Cellphone and electronics repair services. When I have this Business, me myself I will also spend my time in online services. Making money in blogging and accepting services through online. As of now this is the business that I can easy to build up but maybe in the future when I’m engaging in many fields I can think better business than these. In business not all the time it will be good so really helpful to save money for the unexpected expenses. I should able to know the flow of money and take good care of everything. Just take one step at a time. Work your plan and plan your work. I will work for it enables to attain my goal. Just take the risk if you know that you are still in the right tract and if you think that it is not profitable at all try to think another way or try another business this time. I am not that intelligent but I have the attitude that can really bring me into success. As long as I have God whatever may happened in the future I will still stand firm and let God take over. In everything that I will do I will ask always for His guidance and ask for His knowledge and wisdom. Goal I will able to serve my customer as best as possible. The computers are working well and the speed in internet connection is really fast and accessible. At the end of a year is to be able to recover enough of the initial capital in order to re-invest in upgrading my workstations in 2 or 3 years. Otherwise, I get left behind with older and slower PCs that I’ll lose customers to nearby competitors that offer better ones for the same rates.
